HC asks 3 to surrender over 1996 stock market scam

The High Court (HC) on Monday directed three officials of Chittagong Cement Clinker Grinding Company Limited to surrender before the trial court concerned in connection with a case filed over the 1996 share market scam.

The accused are company chairman Abu Tayeb and its two directors AS Shahidul Haque Bulbul and Rakibur Rahman.

Hearing the appeal of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), the HC bench of Justice Rezaul Haque and Justice Mohammad Khurshid Alam Sarker passed the order.
