Senior Secretary General of BNP, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, announced this in a virtual press briefing

BNP has announced a fresh 48-hour nationwide blockade on Sunday and Monday—the fourth time since last month.

Senior Secretary General of BNP, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, announced this in a virtual press briefing, demanding resignation of the government, a poll-time caretaker government, and release of its leaders and activists, including party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

The rival party enforced the first phase of blockade on October 31- November 1 marked by arson attack, clash with the law enforcement agencies and death of political activists.

BNP launched the ongoing series of demonstrations after their grand rally in the capital ended up in turmoil on October 28, leaving the death of a police member and a BNP man. The party enforced a dawn-to-dusk strike countrywide the next day.
