Govt may extend lockdown for another week after Eid

Indian variant was found in the country and it may bring risk. To check the spread of infection, the decision will be revealed on May 16

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain has said that there is a plan to extend the ongoing lockdown of the country for another week due to presence of Indian variant of coronavirus or Covid-19.

Talking to journalist on Tuesday afternoon, the state minister for public administration disclosed this.

"Indian variant was found in the country and it may bring risk. To check the spread of infection, the decision will be revealed on May 16, " Farhad Hossain said.
