Akbar Ali Khan passes away

He took his last breath while undergoing treatment at United Hospital in Dhaka at around 10 pm

Former advisor to caretaker government, and economist Dr Akbar Ali Khan passed away at the age of 78 on Thursday.

He took his last breath while undergoing treatment at United Hospital in Dhaka at around 10 pm.

His brother Kabir Uddin Khan said Akbar was unwell for a few days.

Dr Akbar Ali Khan was former cabinet secretary, former finance secretary, chairman of National Board of Revenue.

He was also advisor to the caretaker government.
