Raid at rice shops in Karwan Bazar kitchen market

After getting information of the raid, rice traders fled the shops

Ministry of Food conducted a raid at rice shops in Karwan Bazar kitchen market in the capital to controlling price hike and illegal hoarding.

After getting information of the raid, rice traders fled the shops.

The drive was conducted by Marjina Akter, Deputy-Secretary , Ministry of Food. Marjina Akter confirmed the information to journalists on Wednesday.

She said “There was problem with licence of traders at rice shops in Karwan Bazar. Besides, hoarding of rice was found.”

The raid was conducted at 12pm at the shops in the kitchen market.
