EC formation: President to start dialogue next week

The president will hold dialogue with registered political parties before appointing the chief election commissioner and commissioners

President Md Abdul Hamid will start dialogue with registered political parties next week to discuss issues relating to the reconstitution of the Election Commission.

“The president will hold dialogue with registered political parties before appointing the chief election commissioner and commissioners. The dialogue will begin next week," President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin said on Tuesday.

The parties that have representation in parliament will be invited first to join the talks.
