Proper hygiene maintained for the COVID-19 pandemic would prevent black fungus largely
Members of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC)’s Technical Working Group for Banalata and Islambagh Raw Markets have warned of a major catastrophe if awareness against black fungus is not raised in current time.
They spoke at a view exchanging meeting organized by Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) Bangladesh in collaboration with Bangladesh Safe Food Authority, a press release said on Thursday.
The third meeting of the Dhaka South City Corporation’s “Technical Working Group” was held on Thursday to ensure safe and nutritious food supply and a healthy environment at Dhaka South City Corporation’s Banalata and Islambagh raw markets.
Speakers at the meeting said black fungus is not a contagious disease.
They added that proper hygiene maintained for the COVID-19 pandemic would prevent black fungus largely.
