BB to sell 25kg gold in auction

Registered gold businessmen would be able to purchase tender schedule by paying Tk 2,000 (non-refundable) and submitting necessary documentation

Bangladesh Bank’s Motijheel office has taken initiative to sell 25kg gold in auction, says a media report.

The process to sell 25kg or 2,170 bhori gold will start this month.    

According to Bangladesh Bank, registered gold businessmen would be able to purchase tender schedule by paying Tk 2,000 (non-refundable) and submitting necessary documentation.

Later, eligible applicants will be selected for the participation in auction.

Regarding the auction, advertisement was published in the media by the Motijheel office of the bank concerned at the beginning of this month.
