6 killed in Mymensingh road accident

A passengers bus collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area, police said.

Six people were killed in a road accident on Mymensingh-Haluaghat road in Kakoni area under Tarakandha upazila of Mymensingh on Friday.

Details of the victims could not be known immediately.

Police said the accident occurred when a passengers bus collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area around 3 pm, leaving five auto- rickshaw passengers including its driver dead on the spot.

The wounded were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where another succumbed to his injuries.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tarakandha Thana Majharul Haque confirmed the incident.
