Cate Blanchett due on Mar 17 on Rohingya issue

On her 4-day trip, she will visit different Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar. Also, she will hold meetings with high government officials

Golden Globe-winning Hollywood actress and UNHCR goodwill ambassador Cate Blanchett will arrive in Bangladesh on March 17 to visit Rohingya refugees.  

Foreign ministry sources on Sunday (March 11) confirmed the matter.

On her 4-day trip, she will visit different Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar. Also, she will hold meetings with high government officials.

Talks on Rohingya repatriation are being continued between Dhaka and Naypyidaw.
