Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui has said that border killings are not acceptable in any way.

He warned that if Indian citizens do not comply with border laws, the BGB will take a strict stance gainst them.

BGB DG also raised a question, saying, "When Indian nationals illegally enter Bangladesh, we detain and hand them over in an orderly manner. But how long can we continue this in the future?"

Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui made these remarks while addressing journalists on Saturday after officially inaugurating four newly established units, including the Ukhiya Battalion (64 BGB), by hoisting the flag at the training ground of the BGB Cox’s Bazar Battalion.

Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury was also present at the event.
