Salman Fazlur Rahman has been appointed as the private industry and investment adviser to the prime minister.

The Cabinet Division published a circular in this regard today.

It said the prime minister has appointed Rahman as her adviser under 3 (B) (1) of the Rules of Business, 1996.

He will have the rank of a minister without salary.

Rahman was elected a member of parliament from Dhaka-1 constituency in the December 30 national polls.
