Fire at Sena Kalyan Bhaban doused

The fire broke out on the 20th floor of the building around 10.40pm. Five firefighting units are working to tame the blaze

Firefighters have brought a fire under control within an hour after it broke out at the Sena Kalyan Bhaban in Dhaka’s Motijheel.

The fire broke out around 10:40pm on the 21st floor, the top floor of the building, which houses several corporate and institutional offices.

Five fire service units managed to control the flames by 11:47pm, according to the Fire Service and Civil Defence Department.

Fire Service Control Room official Anwar Bin Sattar said they were first alerted to the fire at 10:40pm and deployed teams from the Siddikbazar Fire Station to the scene by 10:51pm.

No casualties or losses has been reported, so far. The cause of the fire could not be immediately determined.

Earlier on 18th September, 2023; a fire broke out at the 8th floor of Sena Kalyan Bhaban.

Sena Kalyan Bhaban is a prominent commercial tower owned by the Sena Kalyan Sangstha.
