Gas pressure has dropped significantly across Dhaka and surrounding regions following a technical glitch in one of the floating LNG terminals (FSRU) in the sea.
On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited announced that gas supply has decreased by approximately 400 million cubic feet per day.
As a result, residents and industries in Narayanganj, Sonargaon, Meghnaghat, Gajaria, and southern parts of Dhaka are experiencing low gas pressure.
While repairs are underway, the disruption has caused immense hardship for consumers, as total daily supply has effectively halved from its usual 800-900 million cubic feet.
