‘Shaheed Zia Shishu Park’ to be renamed

The nameplate of the park will be replaced by a new one, within a week, the minister said

Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque on Wednesday said the country’s only public sector amusement park for children in the capital's Shahbagh area will be renamed soon.

“The park will be named as ‘Shishu Park’, dropping the current name ‘Shaheed Zia Shishu Park’”, the minister said.

The minister was addressing at a press briefing, organized marking March 25 as Genocide Day.

The nameplate of the park will be replaced by a new one, within a week, the minister said further.
