Remittance inflow increases by 46.2pc in 12 days of Aug

Inflow of remittances witnessed a remarkable year-on-year growth of 46.2 percent, reaching $1,054 million in the first 12 days of August.

During the same period last year, the country's remittance inflow was $721 million, according to the latest data of the Bangladesh Bank (BB), issued on Wednesday.

From July to 12 August 2025, expatriates sent remittances of $3,532 million, which was only $2,635 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
