State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives, Mir Shahe Alam, assured on Monday, April 13, 2026, that Bangladesh has sufficient fuel reserves and a stable supply chain despite global volatility.

Speaking at an event in Bogra, he emphasized that the government is providing a subsidy of approximately 36,000 crore BDT to maintain current fuel prices and ensure uninterrupted supply until at least June.

Additionally, the Minister highlighted plans for a new agricultural processing center in Mahasthan and the expansion of Bogra Science and Technology University into a full-fledged institution.

He also noted a potential visit by the Prime Minister to Bogra on April 20 to inaugurate various development projects.
