During a briefing, he shared that the government has recovered over 542,000 liters of illegally hoarded fuel through nationwide drives conducted since March.

Currently, the national reserve holds more than 101,000 tons of diesel and 31,000 tons of octane.

Monir emphasized that fuel supply remains consistent with last year's levels and urged the public to avoid "panic buying," specifically in Dhaka.

He also noted that the government has approved the private import of 1.4 million tons of fuel to ensure a steady supply for industries and transport.
