48 to get industry sector CIP status on Nov 20

The government will honour 48 businessmen as commercially important persons (industry) for their contributions to the country's overall economy through setting up industries, creating employments and increasing national income in 2017.  

The CIP cards will be handed over to them on November 20 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital, said Industries Secretary Md Abdul Halim at a press briefing today.

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun will be present at the programme as chief guest, he added.

A CIP can enjoy a number of facilities once he or she has been given the card for one year for their contribution to their respective sector.
