Drug trader held with heroin in Gaibandha

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a drug trader with heroin in Gaibandha's Gobindaganj upazila last night.

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a drug trader with heroin in Gaibandha's Gobindaganj upazila last night.    

On information, the elite force arrested the drug trader, Atal Chandra Mohanta, 48, from Gobindaganj municipality area, RAB said. 

Mahbubur Rahman, ASP of Gaibandha RAB, said Atal Chandra was arrested with 23gm heroin, an auto-bike, mobile phone and cash money.

The market value of the heroin which was recovered from the arrestee is about Tk 2,30,000, he added.
